How it works

Grade point average weights each course’s grade by its credit hours, so a four-credit class moves your GPA more than a one-credit one. This uses the common 4.0 scale; enter zero credits to skip a course you didn’t take.

Frequently asked questions

How is a weighted GPA different?

A weighted GPA gives extra points for honors or AP courses, sometimes on a 5.0 scale. This calculator uses the standard unweighted 4.0 scale, where an A is always 4.0 regardless of course difficulty.
